Love the Versatility!, September 21, 2011

This is by far the best play mat I’ve seen. It’s a huge step up from my previous one.

My old play mat was overly bright. This one is tastefully bright and colorful with cute animal pictures on it.

I have to say, I’m impressed with the toys. They’re cute and fun, and since they’re detachable, they’re fun to play with both on the mat and off. My baby likes the vibrating elephant. The mat comes with 7 toys or attachments.

The mat itself is quite large, so there’s plenty of room for even older babies to play.

Here’s the feature I love the most: The arch connector slides forward so you can change the arches to basically any position you want. Then the toy connectors slide back and forth along the arches so you can position the toys differently, too.

This worked great for my young baby because he wasn’t able to focus on the toys when the arch was overhead. Then when I slid it forward, he loved it. I could also put the toys on his left (the side I’m supposed to turn his head to because he prefers the right). He could also kick at the toys by his feet.

When he gets tired of lying down, I can sit him up to look at the toys in front of him when positioned forward. It’s also good for tummy time.

The mat folds in half and snaps together for storage, but it is still very big.

Be aware when unpackaging–The arches are spring-loaded, so when you pull the plastic off, they really pop out! I am so glad my baby wasn’t nearby when I opened them because it would have really hurt him if it hit him. So give yourself plenty of room during set-up.

I’m very pleased with this fun toy!

Versatile and Durable, September 13, 2011

We’ve been quite pleased so far with the Gymini. As you’ve no doubt noticed, there’s no shortage of these sorts of “baby gyms”, but one of the things we like most about the Gymini is that it can be used for multiple stages of development. It isn’t a one-and-done type product. If you’ve had kids, you don’t need a reminder that they grow and change developmentally insanely fast. Nice to have a product that can be adjusted to various stages.

The Gymini is a bit pricey (likely due to its usefulness in various stages as mentioned above) and, if you’re tight on space, it’s not very small. If you’ve got the room, it’s great, but it seems bigger than other “baby gyms” we’ve looked at.

All in all, we’ve been quite pleased with the Gymini – it’s adaptable, has a lot of toys that comes with it and has been durable enough to withstand the curiosity of an older sibling!

Easy to Clean, Fun for Baby, September 12, 2011

Customer review from the Amazon Vine™ Program (What’s this?)

My four-month-old really enjoys the Tiny Love Move and Play Gymini. I use it for tummy time as well as to improve his hand eye coordination. There are two hard “teething” toys and two soft animals with stretch bungee legs. There is also a mirror. My only complaint is that the mobile was a little bit difficult to assemble, but definitely not hard enough to merit a lower rating, and occasionally the mobile doesn’t play even when the tether is pulled.

I really like that the mat itself is easy to wipe down and clean. My little boy has spit up on it several times and a damp cloth easily cleaned it up (it’s kind of a slick material). It’s a good size, and I like that you can adjust the location of the hanging toys, making the easy to reach for the baby. I’ve even caught my two-year-old laying on the mat watching the light show when the music plays.
